UNI has announced that the updated texts on the energy performance of buildings (UNI/TS 11300) have been drawn up and are soon to be published. The UNI/TS 11300 technical specification, whose objective is to set a common calculation method for the energy requirements of buildings, consists of four parts. The texts to be released soon refer to two of them (UNI/TS 11300-1 and UNI/TS 11300-2) and are going to replace the corresponding texts of the 2008 version. UNI/TS 11300 represents the main regulatory framework for determining the energy performance of buildings. UNI/TS 11300 provides for different application methods according to whether the buildings are newly constructed or existing and takes into account both standard and specific climatic and operation conditions. The texts to be released soon take into account the comments received during public surveys that ended last September.
